Duo Sharia Bank Shares Collapsed, FILM & RALS Participated in the Fall

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Shares of two Islamic banks, PT Bank Panin Dubai Syariah (PNBS) and PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS)collapsed until it touched the lower auto rejection (ARB) and became a ‘loser’ on the first day of fasting.

Not only these two shares, the shares of the production house issuer PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM) and the retail issuer PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS) also fell as the top losers in trading today, Tuesday (13/4/2021).

The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) continued its decline today, correcting 0.36% to 5,927.43 at the close of the second trading session, Tuesday (13/4).

According to IDX data, there were 175 shares that rose, 313 shares declined and 153 shares stagnated, with a transaction value of IDR 8.903 trillion and trading volume reaching 13.65 billion shares.

In line with the weakening of the index, foreign investors on the stock market ‘retracted’ from Indonesia with a net selling record of foreigners reaching IDR 473.23 billion in the regular market. Meanwhile, foreigners recorded a net purchase in the negotiation market and cash market of IDR 30.81 billion.

Referring to the list above, renewable energy developer issuer TGRA’s shares were ranked one of the top gainers today, having shot up 20.97% to IDR 150/share.

With this, TGRA managed to rebound from the correction for two consecutive days, which was 5.11% on Friday last week (9/4) and 4.62% on Monday (12/3).

As for this week, the stock has skyrocketed 19.05%.

In contrast to TGRA, the duo of Islamic bank shares, PNBS and BTPS, have even fallen to the point of touching ARB today.

Shares in the Panin Group bank, PNBS, fell 6.87% to Rp 122/share, while shares of the issuer of Bank BTPN’s subsidiary, BPTS, fell 6.75% to Rp 2,900/share.

The weakening of PNBS broke the strengthening rally for four consecutive days, or since last Wednesday (7/4). Market participants seem to take profits (profit taking) on ​​this stock.

In the company’s latest release, Monday (12/4), PNBS admitted that it is currently exploring collaboration with a number of third parties, one of which is to support the retail sector which includes Micro and Small Enterprises (UMK) through Multi Service products.

The Board of Directors said, along with the recent developments in digital technology, the company has signed an MOU with a digital platform provider that has the same vision and mission as the Company.

In addition, PNBS will also participate through value-chain empowerment for the MSME sector digitally, especially providing productive financing to traditional stalls through a value-chain mechanism.

Not only PNBS and BTPS, FILM’s shares also sank and touched an ARB of 6.67% to IDR 560/share. The transaction value of these shares is IDR 45.7 billion.

The latest news is that the company’s management, led by film producer Manoj Punjabi, gave a statement regarding the entry of the company’s shares under special supervision from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) due to the company’s shares moving outside the usual alias unusual market activity (UMA).

FILM’s management stated that until now there is no material information or facts that affect the company’s share price. This comes after this stock has skyrocketed by 200% in the last 6 month period.

In the disclosure of information submitted by the company, the last information submitted by FILM was on April 6, 2021.

This information is in the form of an affiliated transaction, namely the provision of deposit guarantees worth IDR 49 billion for debt restructuring from its parent company, PT MD Graha Utama.

Apart from this news, until now there is still no latest news regarding the company’s plans. However, the company stated that in the near future it would hold an Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS).

Shares of retail issuer RALS also fell to the top four losers, namely 6.58% to IDR 710/share. This weakening continues the correction of RALS shares since the previous two days.
