“Because from childhood we already know the name Mamat,” said Nicko Irham.

“Funny enough, really. Mamat Modol is a very caring person but actually he is also a coward. In the sense that not afraid of threats, but afraid of the ghosts that could expel him from that place. So, Mamat on the other hand can take care of us, but on the other hand he can also entertain us,” replied Nicko Irham.
How did Nicko and Mamat Modol’s relationship begin?
Nicko Irham met Mamat Modol for the first time, when he was still small, around elementary or junior high school.
“In the past, we often mediated at grandpa’s house. At the meeting, yes, Mamat Modol walked into one of our relatives, and he joined in the conversation. And because he is located on the bridge, I often see him. Before we met in person, I didn’t know it was Mamat Modol.”
What Challenges Did Nicko Get When Playing Mamat Modol?
“The difference is that in Risa Journal I mediate, Mamat automatically does the talking. In this series, I have to play Mamat 100% without mediation, so that’s the challenge. I’m afraid Mamat will be offended, but so far it’s safe,” said Nicko Irham.

“He can take care of all of us at any shooting location, but he doesn’t really look after us. In other words, here, I’m here. So, it just makes us feel safe even though he’s also a coward!” Nicko Irham said while laughing.

“In fact, I learned a lot because all of these kids have great acting. I actually learned from them,” said Nicko Irham.
