Three million viewers have also met Badarawuhi in the KKN film in the Dancer Village. Badarawuhi is a spirit, a demon from the South Coast who is very beautiful and is described as a dancer with the body of a snake and wearing a shawl.
Badarawuhi’s appeal seems to have beaten Wanda or Scarlet Witch in the film Doctor Strange: In Multivers of Madness by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Wanda Maximoff is known as the Scarlet Witch, a character played by Elizabeth Olsen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) media franchise. The supernatural power possessed by Scarlet Witch as a Marvel character does not make KKN fans look away.
“Doctor Strange has the character Wanda or Scarlet Witch, the witch, so Wanda is afraid of Badarawuhi, that’s KKN’s power, so she (Scarlet Witch) loses,” said CEO of MD Pictures as producer, Manoj Punjabi, laughing to journalists, Tuesday (10 /5).
“There is a connection. She (Scarlet) is a witch, Badarawuhi, if the opponent loses. I’m sure of that hahahaa,” Manoj said jokingly.
This is related to cinema tickets in areas such as Prabumulih, Sidoarjo, Pekalongan, Garut, Subang and Tasik. It was recorded that every KKN film screening in Penari Village was always sold out. Meanwhile, at the same broadcast time, Doctor Strange still has many empty seats.
Manoj said that the success of KKN in Dancer Village had been his dream for a long time. Even though KKN was underestimated and the screen was reduced, seeing the strong public interest, this film, which was adapted from the phenomenal story by Simple Man, received high attention.
“My goal is not to fight national films, we can win against western films and it’s been proven that even though there are more Doctor Strange screens, Dr. Strange has started to thin. KKN has revived, the screens have added more,” explained Manoj Punjabi.
“Badarawuhi won, Doctor Strange entered. They won because they were defended, there were lots of screens. If earlier the screens were fair, I guarantee we can be competitive. Today we see there are still a lot of Strange’s screens. Tomorrow CG has returned because it saw the KKN interest. The main thing is if the cinema is fair KKN can excel.
