Kimo is known as a horror director and thrillers said, Ivanna presented horror slashers without removing the supernatural element that has been attached.
“The story alone is already supernatural horror, here I also emphasize that. But we also wrap it with more interesting things (slashers). I don’t leave supernatural horror because that element is thick with the origin of the story,” said Kimo Stamboel
The film, which was directed by Kimo Stamboel, featured a series of famous Indonesian stars. At the forefront are Caitlin Halderman, Junior Roberts, Taskya Namya and Shandy William.
In the newly released poster, a headless figure is seen sitting on a chair in a dimly lit room. The headless figure was wearing an ancient gown as if hinting she was from the past.
Ivanna tells the story of Ambar (Caitlin Halderman), a woman with a visual impairment who is able to see supernatural things. Ambar and his family were terrorized when they visited Bandung to celebrate Eid.
They are terrorized by a ghost named Ivanna, a woman from the Netherlands who was killed by Japanese soldiers. Ivanna really hates Malay-looking people because she felt betrayed during her life.
