Indonesian film producer Manoj Punjabi, founder of MD Pictures, is gearing up for the release of his new horror film, Ivanna. Ivanna is part of the Danur Universe, a series of films that include the Dutch ghost character that previously appeared in Danur 2: Maddah. The movie’s poster was released on Tuesday, June 7, along with the release date of July 14, 2022. Manoj and director Kimo Stamboel discussed the movie with the media. The poster features a person sitting on a chair with only the back of their head visible. It creates a creepy atmosphere reminiscent of its horror genre. Ivanna is Kimo’s first collaboration with MD Pictures, and Manoj revealed the difficulties he faced in convincing Kimo to work on the project. “There have been several offers from MD, but finally, we decided on Ivanna. The effort was exciting, and the result is something different,” he said at the press conference in Setiabudi, South Jakarta.
