TABLOIDBINTANG.COM – The collaboration that was carried out by MD Entertainment and SCTV reached its golden age in 2007-2010.
In those years, MD made a major contribution to SCTV through soap operas numbering hundreds of episodes, such as Cinderella, Cinta Fitri, Cinta Bunga, Suci, Azizah, Melati Untuk Marvel and many more.
November 2010, MD and SCTV divorced. At that time, MD moved his soap operas, FTV and feature films to Indosiar.
Interestingly, less than a year into Indosiar, MD left after TV, which had offices in Daan Mogot, was bought by EMTEK, SCTV’s parent company.
Four years have passed, no new MD products have aired on SCTV. Suddenly in mid-October, the trailer for the film by MD Pictures, “Tak Kemal Maka Tak Sayang”, was playing on SCTV screens.
The climax, when the Gala Premiere of the film was held at Plaza Senayan XXI on Tuesday (21/10), Harsiwi Achmad as Program and Production Director of SCTV-Indosiar was seen chatting intimately with Manoj Punjabithe boss of MD Entertainment.
Ahead of the screening, Manoj took the time to chat with Bintang Online. He confirmed that MD’s newest film, SCTV had already purchased broadcast rights for TV. “SCTV as TV partner is Tak Kemal Maka Tak Sayang. We sell this to SCTV,” he opened Manoj.
“SCTV is objective. Seeing this film is good, they took it. I think this is positive. The industry is getting healthier. It doesn’t have to be (partnership) with only one TV,” he concluded.
Then, will SCTV return to airing MD’s soap operas? Wait for the update on Bintang Online.
