Manoj Punjabi, CEO and producer of MD Pictures, is confident that his latest horror film, Ivanna, will be successful in Indonesia despite its release date being close to Thor: Love and Thunder. Ivanna is set to premiere on July 14, 2022, while Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on July 8. Manoj had previously had success with the film KKN di Desa Penari, which has already gathered nine million viewers. He is not afraid of competition from big box office films like Doctor Strange 2 and Spider Man: No Way Home, which were released during the pandemic and did not perform as well as KKN di Desa Penari. Manoj is more concerned about fair distribution of screen time in cinemas. He believes that the cinemas also understand that Thor: Love and Thunder is a big-budget movie that requires a large audience.
