Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The pace of the domestic stock market managed to close up 0.64% to a level of 6,276.63 in trading last Wednesday (18/9/2019).

The Composite Stock Price Index strengthened for two consecutive days. The JCI performance was inversely proportional to the majority of the main Asian stock exchanges which traded lower: the Nikkei index fell 0.18%, the Hang Seng index fell 0.13%, and the Straits Times index fell 0.53%.

1. Receiving IDR 118 billion, Pieter Tanuri buys more Bali United shares

Entrepreneur, billionaire and former owner of a Multistrada tire factory, Pieter Tanuri, is buying up more shares of PT Bali Bintang Sejahtera Tbk. (BOLA) or the holding company of the Bali United football club with 591,400,000 shares with an investment value of Rp 118.28 billion.

In an information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Wednesday (18/9/2019), Pieter bought BOLA shares at a price of IDR 200/share, lower than the average share price for Bali United this week at the level of IDR 365/share.

At today’s close, BOLA shares closed stagnant at the level of Rp. 368/share with a market capitalization of Rp. 2.21 trillion.

The purchase transaction was carried out on September 9. “The purpose of the transaction is a long-term investment, the status of share ownership is direct,” said Pieter in his letter, quoted by CNBC Indonesia.

2. For Rp. 12 billion, Manoj Punjabi resold MD Pictures’ shares

The main director of PT MD Graha Utama, who is also the majority shareholder of PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM), Manoj Dhamoo Punjabi, again reduced his stake in the film production company. The sale of 59,523,900 FILM shares made MD Graha Utama pocket funds worth Rp 12.50 billion in two transactions. Information disclosure data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) noted that the first sale transaction was made on September 4 at a price of Rp. 210/share with a total of 1,190,500 shares or a value of Rp. 250 million. While the second selling transaction was carried out by MD Graha Utama on September 6, totaling 58,333,400 shares at a price of Rp. 210/share or a value of Rp. 12.25 billion. Thus, the total sales of these shares reached Rp 12.50 billion.
