TABLOIDBINTANG.COM – The film KKN Di Desa Penari broke the record as the highest-grossing horror film of all time. This is evidenced by the number of viewers which exceeded 4.5 million within 12 days of its premiere on April 30, 2022.
This proud achievement is known from the upload of Manoj Punjabi, CEO of MD Pictures as well as the producer of Community Service Program in Dancer Village via his Instagram account. Manoj said that the number of viewers watching KKN films was still increasing.
“KKN Di Desa Penari is the highest-grossing horror film of all time! Until 5 this afternoon, 4,500,000++ viewers have met Badarawuhi!,” wrote Manoj Punjabi on the account @manojpunjabimd on Thursday (12/5).
Manoj was grateful and did not expect that the KKN Di Desa Penari film, which had been delayed twice due to the pandemic, still received quite high attention in Indonesian society. Moreover, KKN competes with Doctor Strange: In Multivers of Madness by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
“Thank God, I am grateful if we can become the best-selling horror film in Indonesia. I thank all Indonesian people who are willing to queue and try hard to be able to watch KKN,” said Manoj Punjabi when contacted by journalists by telephone, Thursday (12/5) evening .
“Based on information from social media and several cinema networks, the interest in KKN is still very large, even in many areas the audience is bigger than Doctor Strange. It is an honor for me that KKN can successfully compete with Hollywood box office films,” added Manoj Punjabi of the fact outstanding.
Even though he has excelled and has become the number one film by the nation’s children in his own country, Manoj Punjabi is not satisfied. In fact, the success of KKN in the Dancer Village motivated Manoj to make better works.
“If you say satisfied, I’m still not satisfied because the success of this KKN film is a challenge in itself to produce even better works and at the same time convince all cinemas to provide more support for KKN films. Not only that, Manoj Punjabi also wants to make it easier for the audience to be able to watch KKN in Pari Village easily.
