MD Pictures’ latest horror production, Sewu Dino, is set to hit Indonesian cinemas on April 19, 2023. The film, directed by Kimo Stamboel, will also be released in neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Singapore. According to CEO Manoj Punjabi, these countries will have synchronized release dates due to the shared holiday period. Other Southeast Asian countries, such as Vietnam and Cambodia, will follow suit at a later date. Punjabi is optimistic that Sewu Dino will have the same potential as KKN di Desa Penari, which is currently the highest-grossing film in Indonesia. The film features Mikha Tambayong, Karina Suwandi, Giselma Firmansyah, Rio Dewanto, and others in the main roles. Sewu Dino gained attention after appearing in the post-credits of KKN di Desa Penari: Luwih Dowo Luwih Medeni extended version, which aired on December 29, 2022.
