This is the reason for Producer Manoj Punjabi’s Best Korean Horror Film Adaptation

TABLOIDBINTANG.COM – MD Entertainment is working on the film Lonely which was adapted from the successful horror film from South Korea, Whispering Corridors. Manoj Punjabi as the producer said, even though it was adapted from a Korean film, Lonely displayed by fresh. Even so, the originality is maintained.

“Ideas are always not enough. If I get a good concept from a successful book or film, it’s even easier. Finding stories is very difficult, if you just make stories, it’s easy. Although adaptations can remain original and fresh,” say Manoj Punjabi in a press conference at the MD Place building in Setiabudi, South Jakarta, Tuesday (12/2).

MD Entertainment and Pichouse Films deliberately worked on a film adaptation for more interesting reasons. “Film adaptations are more interesting because they already have a basis trademarks,” he said.

Not only that, MD Entertainment is adapting Korean films for a wider purpose. He wants the film to be enjoyed by many people in a number of countries, not only in Indonesia. For this reason, MD Entertainment is working with Pichouse Films, Xing Xing, Studio Invertus, Mixx Entertainment, and CJ Entertainment.

“The more we work together, the better give and take. The insight of the MD team became wider. I should open with cooperation. I’m very open to being able to bring something to the table other than a problem finance. Besides the money problem, what can be donated in the future,” he said Manoj Punjabi.

Amanda Rawles says Lonely is his third film for the horror genre. Even so, he felt that the film directed by Awi Suryadi was very unique and different from previous films.

The same thing was also expressed by Naomi Paulinda. Film Lonely certainly similar to foreign horror films. “This is a horror film like overseas. I’ve played horror films several times, but this it’s a different moviee,” said Naomi Palinda.

Film Lonely tells the story of Alex (played by Angga Yunanda), a student who just entered high school who is often bullied by his senior friends. Film Lonely will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting April 11, 2019.
