On May 9 2023, Manoj Punjabi held a mass blood donation which was located at the MD Entertainment office, MD Place, Setiabudi, South Jakarta. CEO of MD Entertainment, Manoj Punjabi helping to increase public and celebrity awareness of the importance of blood donation.

Together with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Manoj Punjabi Donates Blood at the MD Entertainment Office, Urges the Public and Celebrities to Be More Aware
Manoj Punjabi as producer and CEO of MD Entertainment in collaboration with PMI DKI Jakarta province to carry out a mass blood donation at the MD Entertainment office on May 9 2023.
The event was attended by the Head of Setiabudi District, Iswahyudi, Setiabudi Village Head, Merinta Hendri Purnomo, and celebrity representative Shandy Sjariff.
The purpose of the mass blood donation event this is to maintain the availability of blood, because PMI needs 1,000 to 1,500 blood bags every day. Therefore, Manoj Punjabi helped raise awareness for blood donation to the public and celebrities.
In fact, blood donation is one of MD Entertainment’s CSRs, so that Manoj Punjabi feels that his company and other companies need to influence the community to take part in mass blood donors.
“Earlier, I just found out that PMI needs around 1,000 to 1,500 blood bags every day. However, what you get is less than 1,000 bags, meaning there is a minus here,” said Manoj Punjabi.
Apart from Manoj Punjabi, there were also celebrities who attended the mass blood donation event, such as Shandy Sjariff.
“Thank God, earlier The blood donation process went smoothly. Even though the blood pressure was a bit high earlier, we were still able to donate blood for the first time,” said Shandy Sjariff.
Manoj Punjabi and Shandy Sjariff also appealed to the public and other celebrities to increase awareness of blood donors. “Friends, from now on, we will donate blood, okay? Those who are afraid of syringes, it’s okay, really. Just now, be safe. Hopefully the blood we donated earlier can help people in need,” continued Shandy Sjariff.
